2008 ANNUAL DANCE COMPANY RECITAL

Stephanie’s Academy of Dance, Inc. proudly invites, your child , to perform in our annual dance recitals, which will be held on Sunday, June 08, 2008 and/or Saturday, June 14, 2008, at West Aurora High School in their prestigious Auditorium.

The rewards of a dance recital are dual fold. Not only do they reward the dancer for all their hard work, diligence, and commitment, but also they reward family and friends with the pleasure of being a part of “Show Biz” as they see the results of all the effort a dancer have put forth.

Each class will purchase a costume appropriate to the theme of the show. We are selecting the costume companies very carefully, for both cost efficiency and quality. A picture of the costume will be available for viewing during visiting week in January.

• ALL COSTUMES ARE PROPERTY OF ACADEMY UNTIL RELEASED TO A PARENT.

• TEACHERS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REMOVE ANY STUDENT DUE TO EXCESSIVE ABSENCE.

What's happening in April

• Saturday, April 5, 2008, at 8:30 a.m. recital tickets go on sale. All tickets are reserved seating and are $13.00 each.
  
• You will receive one (1) pass per student and one (1) pass per parent for the dress rehearsal when you purchase tickets. Be sure and pick these up at the desk.
  
• On the day of the dress rehearsal, an adult photographer pass is available at the door. 
  
• Without a pass, no one is admitted to the auditorium.
  
• If any costume alterations are needed, instructions will be given on April visiting day.
  
• *****COSTUME BALANCES DUE ON OR BEFORE APRIL 19, 2008. *****
  

What's happening in May - June

• Picture days: Sunday, May 18, 2008; Saturday, May 31, 2008; Sunday, June 01, 2008 see Picture Day Schedule 
  
• Costumes:
  COSTUMES MUST BE BROUGHT ON A HANGER IN A GARMENT BAG.
  Sample of labeling for “Garment Bag” is posted on Bulletin Board outside office.
  Each garment must be labeled.
  Any and all alterations, per Teacher’s instructions on April Visiting Day, must be completed and will be checked on the May picture date. (See picture schedule)
  All headpieces, tights, etc. must be in “Garment Bag”.
  
• Costume and Tuition Balances:
  All Outstanding Balances must be paid in full by May 17, 2008.
  No costumes issued without full payment.
  No costumes issued day of dress rehearsal
  CASH ONLY AFTER MAY 24, 2008.

  SATURDAY, JUNE 7, 2008 PLEASE DO NOT MAKE ANY OTHER PLANS FOR THIS DATE!!!
  WEST AURORA HIGH SCHOOL, 1201 West New York Street, Aurora, IL.
  DO NOT WEAR THE COSTUME TO REHEARSAL – IT MUST BE HUNG ON A HANGER IN A GARMENT BAG AND LABELED.
  All students must be present at Dress Rehearsal or they will not perform in the Show.
  Rehearsal day, dressing rooms will be the Auditorium and/or bathrooms.
  Recital Day, dressing rooms are assigned. 
  Children must be supervised. A Parent must be present. ABSOLUTELY NO visitors at dress rehearsal. This includes other members of the family.
  Keep all of your child’s belongings with you, at all times.
  You may not leave rehearsal until all of your dances have been rehearsed.
  Tickets will be on sale dress rehearsal day at the front of the auditorium.
